Kam is a Private Equity operations executive with a specialization in operational due diligence, merger integration, and post-acquisition execution of performance improvement programs and operational turnarounds. His functional expertise includes SG&A reduction, supply chain. strategic sourcing & procurement, large-scale program management, and post-merger synergy realization.
With more than 15 years of experience, Kam is a seasoned operations improvement leader experienced in driving EBITDA enhancement initiatives for multiple Private Equity backed businesses spanning across Manufacturing, Automotive, Financial Services, Food & Beverage, Distribution, Packaging, Technology, Consumer Products, Chemicals, and Healthcare.
He started his career as a management Consulting with Accenture and then as a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring group for FTI Consulting and finally as a leader in Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Services practice serving as the operating arm for a large number of mid-cap and large-cap PE funds. Recent notable transactions that Kam has led include:
- Operational due diligence for a $1B private equity portfolio company, identifying $11.5M in EBITDA uplift through consolidating plant footprint, insourcing production of key products, and reducing SG&A costs.
- Merger integration of two leading eye care practices. Driving the overall design of the integration strategy, leading functional planning workshops, design of a 100-day action plan, and post close synergy realization effort that spanned across 25 surgery clinics.
- Rapid EBITDA improvement project for a PE Backed integrated laboratory and pharmacy services company. Major scope areas included SG&A reduction, product and customer contribution margin analysis, sales force effectiveness, revenue cycle improvement, and lab operations.
Kam has earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Tech and an MBA with a concentration of Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University
